Iran’s supreme leader: Iran is set to support any nation or group that will raise to fight against Israel

Iran will go any length to make sure that they defeat Israel their arch enemy

Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei,  has said on televised speech on Wednesday 20, May,2020 that they (Iran) will support any nation or group who will come up and fight Israel. The speech was said in support of the week’s annual observance of Quds (Jerusalem) Day to in order to show their support for Palestinians.

The supreme leader Khamenei was posted about the issues on his official English-Language Twitter account, where he wrote “We will support and assist any nation or any group anywhere who opposes and fights the Zionist regime, and we do not hesitate to say this”.

Iran has always been Israel’s arch enemy in the Middle east and they (Iran) has been a key supporter alongside with Russia of President Bashar al-Assad during Syria’s war, sending military advisers as well as material and regional Shi’ite militias.
Israel which have been monitoring neighboring country Syria closely, have reportedly carried out hundreds of air strikes in Syria targeting suspected arms and troop movement by Iran and the Lebanese Hezbollah guerrillas that Tehran sponsors.
Although on Wednesday, the supreme leader Khamenei made it clear that the Iran’s enmity toward Israel has nothing to do with the Jewish people as they were spared from the hostility and anger.

“The elimination of the government of Israel does not mean the elimination of Jews. We don’t have an issue with Jewish people”, Khamenei said in his post on twitter which he posted using his official Farsi-language Twitter account. Adding to the post, he also said “Elimination of Israel means the Muslim, Christian and Jewish People of #Palestine choose their own government themselves and push out foreigners and thugs like [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu”.

The supreme leader, Khamenei, will still speak again on Friday to commemorate the Quds day.
